WHAT TO EXPECT
It is our hope that you find us to be a friendly congregation of Gods people. You will be greeted at the door with joy and kindness. One of our shepherds will open the service by welcoming all worshippers and offer a few brief announcements. Everyone will then be invited to lift up their spirits to God and join in the following acts of worship.
Singing: You will find us raising our voices together in enthusiastic a capella congregational singing. We sing to praise God and exhort one another. (Ephesians 5:19)
Communion: On every Sunday we assemble to observe the Lord’s Supper. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Acts 20:7)
Prayer: At every assembly, we will express our thanksgiving to God and ask for His blessings. (1 Timothy 2:8, Acts 2:42; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Preaching and teaching: Accurate and relevant Bible teaching is an important element of our assemblies. We believe that we should have Scriptural authority for everything that we do as Christians, and as a church. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and it is all that we use to determine our practices and beliefs. (Titus 2:1-2; 2 Timothy 4:2-5)
Collection for the saints: In our Sunday assembly, our members will give as they have been prospered to meet the needs of the church in teaching and benevolence. Our guests are neither asked nor expected to participate. (1 Corinthians 16:1,2)
We would invite you to ask questions you may have about what you see, or on any other Bible subject. We will give our best effort to provide you with clear, complete, and biblical answers. It is our focused intention to emulate the church we read about in the New Testament. It is our prayer that you will perceive us in just such a manner.
Free written material on Bible subjects is available in our lobby, and you may request free audio recordings of the sermon. We are also happy to arrange personal Bible studies at your convenience.
There no need to feel uncomfortable about dress requirements. We ask only that you remember why we are all here, to worship the Lord with his people and to wear what we have, or what we believe to be appropriate for this splendid occasion. We are ordinary people with an extraordinary Savior.
Children are always welcome in our assemblies. We have a quiet room available where you can care for your child should they need to leave the assembly. This room has a changing table, rocking chairs, as well as an audio feed.
If you need assistance with a personal or spiritual matter, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
The best advice that we can give you is to “Come and see.” (John 1:46). Be our guest for a few weeks – observe, ask questions, get acquainted and prayerfully consider the things that you hear. Please be our guest.
